PROFILE
Alka Kumar is a dedicated teacher with thirty
years of invaluable experience in this profession.
After completing her BSc and BEd from the Regional
College of Ajmer, she joined Ramjas School in
1974. She has been one of the pioneers of progressive
teaching and self-enhancement. In keeping with
this, she has conducted several workshops for
primary and pre-primary teachers.
Alka
Kumar has also been a part of a prestigious NCERT
project. She contributed to the Development and
Standardisation of Achievements Test for classes
VII and VIII in both Science and Mathematics.
She has attended various national
workshops on the role of education in conservation.
Her commitment to the field of education has been
commendable. She is the recipient of several academic
proficiency awards from the Ramjas Foundation.
Alka Kumar has various others
interests. She has a strong flair for creative
writing and has been awarded the All-India North
Zone third prize for story writing by School Net.
She also composes poems in Hindi for pre-primary
and primary teachers.
