PROFILE
Madhumati Suresh is a post-graduate
in English and Education, as well as a diploma
holder in Guidance. She graduated from the Stella
Maris College, Chennai and acquired her post-graduate
degree from the Madras University. She has been
teaching for the past fifteen years and has taught
in reputed schools all over the country like the
St. Josephs Convent School, Jalandhar, Ridge View
School, Jammu and Kashmir, Army School, Shillong
and PSBB, Chennai.
She is proficient in handling
classes 6 to12. Her ability to integrate theoretical
concepts and practical ideas enables her to apply
them to the classroom situation is immense. She
uses innovative and creative methods of classroom
teaching to make learning interesting and enjoyable,
and to also help foster a child's desire to explore.
Her aim is to transform the students' infinite
potential into skills by preserving the innate
curiosity and motivation of the child.
She had been the co-ordinator
of the literary activities in the various schools
she has worked with. Elocution and dramatics being
her forte, she has trained students for different
co-curricular activities. She is, at present,
the editor of the school magazine.
Having completed the 'Intel -
Teach into the Future' programme, she has now
adopted computer-based multimedia presentations
to improve the assimilation of the subject by
children. Her creative writing and poetry writing
workshops for children in the age group of 8 to
14, has instilled in the children a love for the
language and brought out their creativity. Her
other interests include reading, painting, trekking
and travelling. She has also done her second degree
in Reiki.
Teaching is a passion and Madhumati
is happiest when she is among children. Her experience
of teaching in different parts of the country
has contributed in making her a remarkably effective
and competent teacher as well as a facilitator.
