Ms Shyma Vinod has been associated with teaching for the last nine years. Having completed her bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Calicut, she went on to pursue her Masters in English Language and Literature. Later, she completed her B Ed degree from Annamalai University in 1995.

Presently, Head of the Department of English at the Bloom Public School, Vasant Kunj, Ms Vinod has had a chequered nine year teaching career. In the past, she has held the post of the Director of Green House and was the Teacher Incharge of the inhouse school magazine Bloom Talk.

She has worked closely with the media. She was the coordinator for the Meri Bharat show in the episode which dealt with “Career options: Performing Arts”. She was also part of the FM radio programme Teen Time on 102.6 Rainbow. Further, she has conducted a workshop on Instruction of English and Evaluation Pattern.

She is a keen linguist and has knowledge of French and Swahili along with Hindi and Malayalam. Her hobbies extend to listening to music, reading journals, short stories and articles on gardening.
