PROFILE
Mrs V Jyothi is a senior English teacher of Andhra
Education Society Smt Durgabai Deshmukh Senior
Secondary School (AESDDSS), D D U Marg, New Delhi.
She
has completed her MA in English from Annamalai
University and her B Ed from Osmania University.
She has been in the teaching profession for the
last 26 years and her association with AESDDSS
as a PGT English teacher for the senior secondary
students spans 11 years.
Being in the midst of students
who are in the critical phase of adolescence,
Mrs Jyothi has exhibited great skill in tenderly
channelising their interests and energies in constructive,
creative and productive directions. Her dedicated
efforts have manifested in 100 per cent pass percentage
among the students besides distinction marks in
English for many. Apart from academics, she has
also initiated students into participating in
various debating and creative writing competitions.
As an examiner, Mrs Jyothi has been evaluating
Class 12 English papers, and doing it very efficiently
for the last ten years. She has also been the
coordinator for the Times of India project: Newspaper
in Education and has been actively promoting the
habit of reading newspaper among her students.
