PROFILE
Ms Nidhi Mehra is the Head, Department of Mathematics,
Birla Vidya Niketan, New Delhi and has been with
this school for the last 14 years. Ms Mehra has
completed her schooling from Montfort School,
Ashok Vihar, and her graduation (BSc) in Mathematics
from Miranda House, Delhi University. She completed
her MSc from Delhi University and her BEd and
MEd from Annamalai University.
She
was initiated into the teaching profession in
1989 as a part-time teacher for classes 11 and
12 at Maharaj Agarsain School, Ashok Vihar. Later,
she joined Suraj Bhan DAV school, Vasant Vihar
teaching classes 6 to 12.
She joined Birla Vidya Niketan in 1991. She has
also been the Head Examiner for the CBSE class
12 Board Examination.
Ms Mehta lives by the motto:
"Enthusiasm is the foundation of a successful
life". Hence she takes special care to nurture
this enthusiasm amongst her students. She implements
very effective and novel teaching methods encouraging
her students to achieve their goals through a
process of self-learning and discovery.
