Introduction

Banyantree School, New Delhi formerly known as Rai School was established under the agegis of Ram Krishan Kulwant Rai Trust in 1986, is an English medium co-educational institute, which provides quality education from Nursery to Class XII. The School is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Govt. of Delhi.

The School with its motto “In Pursuit of Excellence” has the vision of providing quality education and the right inputs to help children grow into well-adjusted individuals who will be responsible world citizens of tomorrow.

Facilities

The School is affiliated to the CBSE and follows the academic framework laid by the NCERT and CBSE. The teaching methodology is innovative and child-centered. An experienced and dynamic Principal heads the School. Professionally competent and committed staff oversee the well being and growth of all children. Bright and child-friendly classrooms provide the right ambience for learning. All classrooms in the Primary School have computers and other equipment required to facilitate learning. There are separate libraries for the Primary and Senior School. Well-equipped labs for Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Bio-technology provide the environment for developing a scientific temper amongst the children. The school has one of the best and most modern computer facilities in the city. Computer-aided-Learning (CAL) helps to accelerate the pace of learning and makes it a pleasant experience too. Inter house competitions are organized in various cultural and co-curricular activities. The School has a very motivated Student Council. The faculty is deeply involved in counseling the students on a day-to-day basis. Workshops on story telling, puppetry, drama, ikebana, contemporary music, etc are regularly organized for the students. An Inter-School Fest “SPECTRUM” is organized every year to commemorate the Birthday of our founder, Dr Kulwant Rai. The School has a spacious play ground and has facilities for Athletics, Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Football etc. Extra-curricular activities like Debates, Dramatics, Creative writing, Art, Craft, Dance and Music are a part of the wide gamut of activities in the school.

Achievement Scholarship

• Full tution fee waiver will be awarded to one student each year who excels in academics & co-curricular activities.

Merit Scholarship

• Based on pure academic brilliance, merit scholarships are awarded to students with 5 distinctions in the Class X Board Examinations.

Merit cum Means Scholarship

• To academically brilliant students who belong to lower economic income group.
  
• Students securing above 85% in the final results and furnish relevant proof of parent’s income.

Sports Scholarship

• To encourage excellence in sports scholarships will be awarded to students who are excellent in any sport at the national or state level.
  
• Prize money will depend on level of achievement.
